At Coriander’s we’re very proud of our unique wine list, and we want to give a big thanks to some amazing wineries for making absolutely fantastic drops.

We love to support local producers, so we’ve picked out a few of our favourite South Island wineries.

Te Mānia, Nelson

The name of this family winery means “The Plains” in te reo Māori. The vineyards flourish on ancient alluvial terraces, where rivers flow from the mountains to the sea. The stony soil and cool, sunny climate produce very high-quality wine.

Bishops Head, Waipara

Just up the road in Waipara, the Bishops Head winery is in a simple corrugated iron building where the winemakers produce amazingly fresh wines from grapes grown in limestone soils. The Pinot Gris and Riesling are particularly fresh and delicious.

Lamont, Central Otago

Lamont is a boutique wine producer from the Bendigo area, north of Cromwell. The grapes are lovingly grown by owner and experienced viticulturist Craig Gasson. We especially love the Pinot Noir, which is medium-full bodied, fruity and a little savoury.

Other South Island wines on our drinks list include Georges Michel, Paua Bay, Richmond Plains, Mud House, and Middle Terrace. Come in to Coriander’s and experience them for yourself!
